In a small town, down a dusty lane,
Lived a boy who loved, behind the window pane.
His heart beat wild, at each luxurious touch,
Such a simple thing, and yet it meant so much.
His mama would say, "Boy, you're a mystery,
Why do you stare at those things with such intensity?”
He'd smile and say, "They hang with such grace,
They hide my secrets, beautify my space.”
Oh, I love drapes, those fabric dreams,
From silk to lace, in countless schemes.
I close my eyes, let the cloth take hold,
In my mind, a world of magic unfolds.
He'd dance with those drapes, twirl 'round and round,
Lost in their rhythm, as they hung to the ground.
The rustle from the breeze, a gentle serenade,
The boy and his drapes, that bond would never fray.
And when he grew, that boy set out to go,
To a place where the drapes are free to flow
He traveled afar, his drape needs unmet
’Til he found drapes in the woods on Boston Johnny’s set
Oh, I love drapes, those fabric dreams,
From silk to lace, in countless schemes.
I close my eyes, let the cloth take hold,
In my mind, a world of magic unfolds.

Drapes Versus Curtains
02:25
|
|||
Drapes versus curtains, yo ho, yo ho
Drapes versus curtains , yo ho
Drapes are much better you know, you know
Drapes are much better you know
Curtains or drapes, it's a choice you must make,
Let's have a chat, lest you make a mistake
Drape Boy is here, with my simple tune,
About window dressings, and which you should choose.
Curtains, oh curtains, the first we explore,
They're in every home, the most basic decor.
With patterns and hues on Plebian display
With floral motifs that scare good taste away
Drapes versus curtains, yo ho, yo ho
Drapes versus curtain, y o ho
Drapes are much better you know, you know
Drapes are much better you know
Curtains are weak as the light summer breeze
The wind or the sun will bring them to their knees
But drapes, lovely drapes, they are heavy and grand
They block out the world by their royal command
While curtains may keep out the dawn’s budding light
Drapes reign supreme, can turn day into night.
With their regal presence and stately allure,
Drapes will claim victory, that much is sure.
From formal living rooms to rich abodes,
Drapes live in spaces where splendor unrolls.
With flowing fair grace, they capture each gaze,
With beauty and charm, they're the perfect diplays.
From floor to ceiling, they are a grand sight,
Transforming the plain into rarified height.
I beg you choose drapes if you seek some finesse,
It's a decision you'll never regret.
Drapes versus curtains, yo ho, yo ho
Drapes versus curtain, ho ho
Drapes are much better you know, you know
Drapes are much better you know

Charlie is such a kind director man
He’s always professional, but also seems to really care
Not just about getting the job done, but keeping everyone on set happy
It really makes it a pleasure just to be there
That Phil guy though, he’s is so very mean
He yells at everybody, even though that’s not the way to get people’s best work
He needs to cut down on coffee or something
Because director Phil, he’s just a massive jerk
I’m so glad that Director Charlie is back
I never ever want him to leave agian
Although maybe that would be easier if Boston Johnny
Would stop trying to steal all of Charlie’s girlfriends

I'm just a drape boy, hangin' by the window side,
Dreamin' 'bout the day I'll shine, with a sense of pride.
But there's this jacket, oh so bright, it catches my eye,
Boston Johnny's white jacket, makes my heart fly high.
I see it on his shoulders, as he walks down the street,
That jacket's got the magic, it's got the winning beat.
I imagine how it feels, how it dances with the breeze,
I’m gonna wear it proudly, so everyone can see.
Oh, I'm a drape boy, yearnin' for that style,
Wanna wear that jacket, make my dreams worthwhile.
From the window to the streets, I'll make my own mark,
In Boston Johnny's white jacket, shining in the dark.
From the sidelines I watch, as he struts with grace,
Boston Johnny's white jacket, an icon of this place.
I'll work hard, I'll make it mine, step by step I'll climb,
To don that jacket, feel its power, for the very first time.
I'll polish up the fabric, straighten out the pleats,
Practice all my moves, and I’m looking real sweet.
I'll show the world my worth, and my dreams won't be denied,
Boston Johnny's white jacket, let me be inside.
Oh, I'm a drape boy, yearnin' for that style,
Wanna wear that jacket, make my dreams worthwhile.
From the set to the streets, I'll make my own mark,
In Boston Johnny's white jacket, shining in the dark.
I may be just a drape boy, hanging on a rod,
But my goals are so big, my plans without flaw.
I'll reach for the stars, I'll strive for something more,
In Boston Johnny's white jacket, my fortune will soar.
So here's to the drape boy, with my dreams so grand,
Chasing after that jacket, to take what I demand
With perseverance and passion, I'll make it through,
Boston Johnny's white jacket, I'm comin' for you.
Oh, I'm a drape boy, yearnin' for that style,
Wanna wear that jacket, make my dreams worthwhile.
From the window / set / porch to the streets, I'll make my own mark,
In Boston Johnny's white jacket, shining in the dark.

Lured by the pull of fame and a life so fine,
I left the drapes, thought I'd find my shine.
I chased the lights, the glamour so grand,
As a spokesperson, I would make my stand.
The cameras flashed, the applause so loud,
I talked about dry cookie flakes, feeling so proud.
But deep inside, an emptiness grew,
A longing for that thing I once knew.
Because oh, the drapes, they called me back each day,
With their fabric touch, and their gentle sway.
Now I am content, and where I belong,
In the folds of drapes, my heart is strong
And now at last I know everything will be ok
The spotlight dimmed, my fame made me sad,
I yearned for simplicity that I once had.
I saw the drapes, that they hold my dreams,
With their tapestry of life, bursting at the seams.
Now I'm back where I started, with a smile on my face,
Working with drapes, in this humble place.
The patterns and colors, they ignite my soul,
With each drape I hang, I again feel whole.
Because oh, the drapes, they called me back each day,
With their fabric touch, and their gentle sway.
Now I am content, and where I belong,
In the folds of drapes, my heart is strong
And I promise that never again will I go away
I love drapes in the early morning
I love drapes in the mid morning
I love drapes in the late morning
I love drapes at noon time too
I love drapes in the early afternoon
I love drapes in the mid afternoon
I love drapes in the late afternoon
I love them ALLATIME — And my love is true
Because oh, the drapes, they called me back each day,
With their fabric touch, and their gentle sway.
Now I am content, and where I belong,
In the folds of drapes, my heart is strong
And now at last I know everything will be ok
And I promise you that never again will I go away
And on the drape divine, I swear that I am here to stay
